Atheera, Inc. ("Atheera", "we", "our", or "us") operates an autonomous inventory decision engine for Shopify brands. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.
By using Atheera, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Account details: Name, email address, company name, and password.
Store data: When you connect your Shopify store, we receive product catalog, order history, inventory levels, and purchase order data. This data belongs to you. We use it only to generate inventory recommendations.
Payment information: Billing details processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details.
Communications: Messages you send us through support channels.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Usage data: How you interact with the platform, including which features you use and whether you act on recommendations.
Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
Device data: Device type, operating system, and approximate location at country and city level.
Cookies: Used for authentication, preferences, and basic analytics. See Section 7.
1.3 Information from Shopify
When you connect your Shopify store via OAuth, we receive product, order, and inventory data through Shopify's API. We request only the permissions needed to generate recommendations. We do not collect your customers' personal information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Provide and improve the Atheera platform and recommendation engine.
Generate purchase order recommendations with reason codes.
Manage your account, billing, and subscription.
Send product updates and security notices.
Respond to support requests.
Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.
Meet our legal obligations.
We may use anonymized, aggregated data for internal product improvement. This data cannot be linked back to you or your store. We do not sell your data.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share data only when necessary to operate the business:
Service providers: Trusted third parties who help us run the platform, including hosting, payments, and analytics. They are bound by data agreements and cannot use your data for their own purposes.
Shopify: We operate as a Shopify Partner and comply with Shopify's Partner Program Agreement regarding data handling.
Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Business transfers: If Atheera is acquired or merges, your data may transfer as part of that transaction. You will be notified in advance.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
Account closure: Personal data deleted within 30 days, except where required by law.
Store disconnection: Raw Shopify data deleted within 14 days of disconnecting your store.
Pilots and trials: Data deleted within 30 days if you do not convert to a paid plan.

5. Data Security
We protect your data using encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security monitoring. Your store data is logically isolated from other customers at all times.
No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you promptly in line with applicable law.
Choose a strong, unique password for your account. We will never ask for your password by email or through support channels.
6. Shopify Data and API Compliance
Atheera is a registered Shopify Partner. Our use of Shopify APIs is governed by Shopify's Partner Program Agreement.
API scopes: We request only: read_products, read_orders, read_inventory.
No customer PII: We do not store or use your Shopify customers' personal data.
No marketing use: Your store data is never shared with third parties for marketing.
Revocation: You can disconnect Atheera from your Shopify store at any time. This stops all data processing within 24 hours and triggers deletion within 14 days.
7. Cookies
Essential: Required for login and security.
Performance: Help us understand how the platform is used.
Preferences: Remember your settings between sessions.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict how we process your data. You may also withdraw consent or request a copy of your data in a portable format.
Exercising these rights will never affect your service or pricing.

9. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your data, email abhinay@atheera.ai with the subject "Privacy Complaint". We will respond within 5 business days.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses and binding agreements with our service providers.
11. B2B Service — You Are the Data Controller
Atheera is a business tool. When your store data contains personal information about your end customers, you are the data controller for that data. Atheera acts as a data processor on your behalf, using that data only to generate inventory recommendations.
You are responsible for your own privacy disclosures to your customers. If you need a Data Processing Agreement with Atheera, contact abhinay@atheera.ai.
12. Children
Atheera is for business use by adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
13. Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy as the platform evolves. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
We recommend checking this page periodically. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
